Acne is a part of life for many young kids and even adults today. In this article we hope to explore a few inexpensive options that will help get rid of any acne you may be experiencing. While these methods may not work as good as an over the counter acne medicine they are certainly a lot more inexpensive. However, you must keep in mind that every person has different levels of acne. For some the techniques will do absolutely nothing and they may require medicine to make their acne disappear. Either way this article is a great place to start.

The first and most important part of acne prevention is to wash your face. Sure you wash your face every day when you shower but you also should wash your face after exercising, playing with a pet, and more. You may even want to get into the routine of washing your face twice a day. This will ensure that any sweat or dirt that might be on your face will be washed off throughout the day. This will prevent a buildup of sweat that could potentially give you acne.

The next idea in preventing acne is a little harder then washing your face. You need to de-stress your life. Many times I have noticed that my first acne break outs came when I was extremely stressed about school and work. You need to find a way to prevent that stress from affecting your skin. You can limit your stress by learning proper techniques. You may want to try yoga or meditation. However, this is only an option that you can use.

The last idea for acne prevention is try your hardest not to let hairspray or gel touch your face. These different products contain a lot of chemicals that will affect your acne negatively. So do your best to not let them get anywhere in your face.

With these techniques I hope that you can limit the amount of acne you are experiencing. However, if the acne persists you may want to contact a dermatologist who is able to prescribe a more powerful acne medicine.

Many people have long suspected that there is a connection between acne and stress. Well, research has proven that contention to be true especially among adults. Acne is not just a condition that teenagers deal with. Millions of adults suffer from it as well. In adults, one of the most common causes is stress. Stress exacerbates acne because it can cause changes in ones hormones. When a person is feeling overwhelmed, stress hormones are released in greater amounts and can lead to all types of physical and mental disorders such as a weight gain, acne and even high blood pressure.

Now there is some debate about whether or not acne is caused by stress or is made worst by it. Theres not much agreement on this fact. However, most people do agree that stress does affect acne. Stress can cause the body to create more oil which can become clogged in the pores and lead to acne breakouts.

Stress is not the only reason that acne develops or worsens. If a person is trying to figure out if their breakouts are stress related, they should note when they breakout and what is going on their life during this time. This will give them some idea of the cause. This is very important because once an individual or ones doctor is able to figure out what is causing the acne or what is worsening it, they can correctly treat it. For example, a doctor may suggest that a person go to counseling, cut back on their activities or journal, in an effort to help reduce their stress. They may prescribe some type of acne medication but will also be sure to include some type of stress management exercises into the patients plan of action. This may be able to make a huge difference.

Stress can be very damaging to the body and can cause very serious ailments and illnesses to develop. It can also affect a persons looks. Individuals who are constantly stressed out tend to age faster and may develop acne. To avoid this, it is very important that an individual find an outlet for their stress and aggressively attempt to manage it. Journaling, speaking with friends, spending time with family, cutting back on ones schedule, going to church, praying, etc., can all make a huge difference in ones stress levels and may help individuals improve their acne.
