I can clearly remember the day when I first found out about the use of laser treatments for acne. I got this picture in my head of an old James Bond movie where he was all tied up and a laser was about to cut into him. I remember thinking to myself that I would much rather just live with the condition than have to use any type of laser on my face. I have since then learned a bit of the procedure and found that for a large number of people, laser treatments can actually turn out to be a cure and that it isn’t nearly as dangerous as I once thought.

The skin is the largest organ of the body and it is one of the main organs the body uses to eliminate toxins. Acne, to put it simply, is when our skin pores become blocked with natural skin oil that our body’s produce as well as a little dirt and bacteria. This generally occurs during puberty when there is an excess of hormones. It is also very prevalent amongst pregnant women. There are many types and causes of acne, which means there are many different treatment methods. What works for one person may not necessarily work for another.

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of different acne products available on the market today. Then there is a large amount of home remedies or books that contain a whole assortment of natural treatments. Medications for acne are more popular now than any other time in the past. Antibiotics are also a very popular treatment these days, but people often become quickly resistant to them so they are often not the best treatment method for many people.

The laser treatments for mild or severe acne work by killing all the bacteria that is responsible for causing acne. Other lasers can target blackheads or whiteheads by specifically targeting the oil producing glands in the skin which will unplug the follicle so that it can release the oil (serum) trapped inside it by gently heating the top layers and also by shrinking the oil gland itself. The deeper layers of the skin are mostly left untouched which allows the area treated to heal fairly quickly and without any incident.

It is widely believed that laser treatments can cure acne. There are different types of laser treatments available and there will usually be one that is most suitable for your type and severity of acne because everyone has different skin.
Laser treatment is a modern method of dealing with acne that was designed to be gently and target only the areas of the skin that have acne.

Although laser treatments work well for many people it doesn’t mean it will work for you. It is a lot more expensive than conventional treatments that are available on the marketplace. These products and other medications are generally more within the price range of anyone struggling with acne while the laser option is not.

For most people, their cause of acne is internal due to hormones and other factors.
