So many health benefits come from eating fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately some are proven to give skin irritations and cause acne. Not all foods react the same with all people. Do not stop eating these foods listed in this article just because you have acne. Simply take these steps to see if these foods give you more acne.

Simple steps to take: After eating one of the food items listed below and you discover more acne the next day, write it down. Then a few days later if eating that same item again gives you the same result the next day as before, eliminate from your diet. By simply looking at how your body reacts to the foods you eat, you can speed up the healing process of acne.

The reason some foods cause acne. Sugar always feeds a Candida infection and should be cut out completely. Candida, a genus of yeasts, is any of the pathogenic yeast-like imperfect fungi. The following is a list of foods that aggravate acne and cause Candida reactions to occur.

White potatoes – Taken in high amounts, they can raise blood sugars and feed Candida infections. White potatoes are starchy, red potatoes are the best choice if choosing a potato. They are great for fighting Candida yeast infections, and have more fiber.

Tomatoes – acids found in tomatoes give people skin sensitivities to their acne. Tomatoes are very good for you. Do NOT cut them unless you discover your acne is worse after eating them! If you do not have any sensitivities to your skin after eating tomatoes. Eat them every day, the health benefits are huge. If you do discover that your skin sensitive to tomatoes, eliminate from your diet. You can try eating them again after several months to see if anything has changed.

Mushrooms – Uncooked mushrooms are relatives of yeast. If you have increased breakouts or do not feel well after eating, cut them from your diet.

Tracking what you eat the day just before your breakouts, will help you see the connection to your breakouts and some of the foods you eat.
