You might not know it, but not eating certain foods can actually be damaging your skin and making your current acne condition even worse. There are certain foods that have been shown to help maintain the health of the skin and keep it nourished while also helping to repair any present damage. Some of these foods include: Certain Oils, Fish and Beans.
Many of you many have already heard me carry on about how important some acids are for healthy skin and how some of them play a major role with aging. Some of these acids are known as EFA’s (essential fatty acids) which are needed to maintain the pliability of our skin. Not adding these “good fats” to our diets, such as the increasing in popularity Omega-3′s, causes your skin to age and get wrinkles way too soon. The majority of people are actually deficient in Omega-3 fatty acids.
One of the best sources of EFA’S is in the form of flax seed oil but is also found in other oils such as coconut and borage. These can be used for cooking instead of other oils such as olive and sunflower or they can be added to your diet via supplementation which is often the best way because heating EFA’s above a certain temperature actually damages the oils structure.
You can create your own highly-effective anti-aging face wash by making a puree out of several squashes and some oil containing EFA’s. This will also contain the beneficial chemical known as alpha-hydroxy which I’m sure you’ve heard of if you use cosmetics. You will no longer need to waste your money on all of those high-end products you see everywhere since the most important components of them are right in your refrigerator! Also, the cells of your skin cannot be repaired without adequate protein.
If you don’t like to eat much meat trying eating some more raw seeds and nuts and a little fish for your protein needs or maybe even egg whites or soy products. Also, the one substance that you can’t give your body enough of is water. Considering that experts claim that your body is roughly seventy to eighty percent water, it is a very good idea to replenish your water stocks in your body constantly, especially if you are active or exercise a lot or live in a dryer climate.
Drinks that are known to dry your skin are sodas and caffeinated beverages. If you think that drinking a large amount of water daily is a challenge, try drinking a little more fruit juice or eat watermelon and cucumber with your salads. It is a fact that you are what eat so you must remember to eat well and your skin will reflect this by looking healthy and having less acne spots.
When you buy fruits and vegetables, you should try your best to purchase them from your local farmer’s market or greengrocers that specialize in natural foods that have been organically grown and a free from harmful pesticides, insecticides and hormones.
For most people, their cause of acne is internal due to hormones and other factors. Author Chris Gibson has created a unique treatment program that targets these internal causes that has seen as much as a 90% success rate on people who try it. If you suffer from acne you should definitely give it a try. It’s called Acne Free in 3 Days and you can read more about the program by clicking on this link: Acne Free in 3 Days

It’s hard to find a woman these days who doesn’t care much about her skin. Typical girls nowadays are even more conscious about their appearance and sometimes go as far as using harmful products to get instant looks. Hence, many end up with pimples, ugly spots, marks or a discolored skin. In the long run, looking beautiful, handsome, and super-sexy remains a dream for many. However, we easily forget that proper and sufficient use of vitamins keeps our skin healthy and prevents signs of early aging at the same time. Neglecting this, majority of people fail to maintain their skin health and are usually caught by some common skin disease like acne early in their lives.
If you want a smooth skin, then you must remain very careful about your diet. And it’s essential to know which vitamins should be taken in what quantities so you can keep track of any shortcomings. In this case, it’s advisable to either change your diet plan or go for multivitamin supplements to cover up the deficiencies. Let’s briefly view some vitamins and their role in the health of our skin.
Vitamin A reinforces the protective tissue of the skin and averts acne. It also helps reduce creation of extra sebum which fuels growth of acne and pimples. Hence, this vitamin is indispensable for the health and restoration of skin tissues.
Nervousness and constant worries affect our skin in the long run and are common causes of early aging. B-Complex vitamins help in relieving anxiety and stress, and keep our skin healthy in the long run. It struggles against acne and other harmful skin infections; especially, vitamin B5 is highly effective in treating acne and limiting further growth. Blood circulation is also one of the factors that have a significant impact on our skin. B-type vitamins regulate blood circulation and body metabolism, and strengthen our immune system by producing antibodies.
Vitamin C operates like an antioxidant. It helps in curing wounds by alleviating collagen. In addition, it reduces lines, wrinkles and even sunburns to an extent if applied topically. Vitamin E gives our skin the much needed moisture, softness and smoothness. It further safeguards the skin against sun rays when used topically. Vitamin E has also been found to be another antioxidant that helps reduce inflammatory effects on the skin.
As far as possible, avoid quick remedies for looking attractive and always consume a sufficient amount of vitamins daily. You can always go for a very balanced diet containing all essential vitamins; but since that’s hard to maintain in the fast-paced life today, multivitamin supplements are the best alternate.
You can use specific vitamins to treat particular skin problems like buying vitamin b5 for acne treatment. Our acne guide is also a good read for anyone interested in this topic.

When trying to get rid of any kind of acne it is important to follow a healthy diet as a part of the solution. Eating fresh fruit and vegetables as well as nuts and seeds will help to reduce the amount of acne you get as well as give you an energy boost. Brazil nuts and pumpkin seeds are also very good for acne because they contain selenium and zinc which are required to ward off acne. Drinking plenty of water every day, more than two liters, helps to flush out toxins from the body and allows the skin remain hydrated properly.
Taking a pro-biotic drink or yogurt helps to establish good bacteria in your gut so your digestive system works properly which then allows vitamins and minerals to be absorbed properly, and will help to keep your skin clear.
Reducing stress to get rid of cheek acne is also essential as stress can exacerbate the production of acne. It is therefore important to take time to relax every day either by exercising, talking with friends, practicing meditation or anything that you find relaxing. Cutting down on caffeine and smoking will also help to get rid of cheek acne as they cause the body to produce stress hormones which will increase acne. Getting out and about is also important as sunshine activates vitamin D which is extremely important for healthy skin, just remember to wear plenty of sun block on hot day.
Exercises such as yoga and tai chi are also very good for getting rid of acne as they improve circulation and help internal organs to get rid of toxins more efficiently so it’s worth looking into finding a class near you. The most important factors in trying to get rid of cheek acne are a healthy diet, the right vitamins and enough exercise.

For people who suffer from acne, oral antibiotics, such as Tetracycline and Erythromycin, are often the next treatment option after topical medicines (ones applied directly to the skin), have failed to give the desired results. They are often used in conjunction with other medications, like benzoyl peroxide, to improve the chances of a successful outcome. Like topical versions, oral antibiotics are used to fight bacteria and reduce inflammation; however, they tend to work more quickly. These treatments are not available over the counter and must be prescribed by your doctor. Also, you should avoid taking them if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Some of the disadvantages of using oral antibiotics
All drugs have potential side-effects and you should be aware of any which might affect you before you start taking them. Probably the main issue to consider with oral antibiotics is resistance. Bacteria can become resistant to a particular antibiotic and the drug can become less effective or stop working altogether over a period of time. For this reason, it is considered wise not to take them for extended periods. Some studies have also suggested
there may be a link between antibiotic use and an increased tendency to develop respiratory infections. Tetracycline, which is the drug most commonly prescribed for moderate to severe acne, can cause staining of the teeth. This is usually temporary in adults, but can be permanent in children; which is why they are not generally prescribed to children under 10.
The advantages
Oral antibiotic treatments have been used for controlling acne for a long time, and they are generally considered safe. There is no doubt that they are one of the most effective solutions available, and particularly if your acne is quite severe and likely to result in scarring, their advantages probably outweigh the potential downsides. Depending on how severe your acne is, improvements in your condition can be seen in as little as a few weeks. However, it can take several months for the full effects of the treatment to be noticed, so it’s important not to stop taking the medication if it doesn’t seem to be working fast enough.
For those who find topical treatments alone are not sufficient to control their acne, a course of antibiotics closely managed by a physician can dramatically improve their condition.

In my last post I gave an overview of the science behind the development of acne in the skin. Now while that science is the process that forms acne on the skin, there is a much deeper cause that most people aren’t aware of.
Behind The Science:
What most people are yet to discover (scientists included) is that acne is the result of unhealthy toxins building up in the body. People generally put all kinds of unhealthy food and drinks with little or no nutritional value into their body and while the body can process a certain amount of toxins, this overloads the its digestive process and causes the toxins to be disposed of throughout the body.
It is important to know that a healthy body is extremely immune to infections, bacteria and even viruses of all kinds. This is why some people are more prone to illness than others. This has been known by many to be one of the core reasons for cancer, of which, in noted cases, only a change in diet was required to eliminate the cancer.
And it is also the root cause of acne.
It’s all based on pH balance.
“What is pH balance?” I hear you ask. The human body relies on a delicate balance of acid and alkali. Some of you will remember these terms from Chemistry class in high school. The pH (potential of Hydrogen) of any substance is measured in a range from 0 to 14; 0 being the most acidic, 14 being the most alkaline and 7 being neutral. Water is a neutral substance having a pH of exactly 7. And since the human body is about 75% water, the human body also needs to be as neutral as possible.
Everything we put into our body has a pH level. These days, the absolute majority of food available is over acidic. From your everyday processed foods in supermarkets like pies and pasta, to the take away and fried foods available on every major street in the world. All of these foods have an acidic effect on the body and cause excess toxins to build up.
If you would like a more in-depth explanation of pH effects on the body, including a quick guide to food, check out a book called The pH Miracle, available at Amazon.com or any other major book store.
In my next post I will guide you through achieving a healthy pH balance.

Acne is ailment caused by blockages of a hair follicle pore. Sebum which is a naturally occurring oil in these pores starts to build up excessively; either it remains under the skin surface leading to the appearance of white heads, or when it party reaches the surface it changes colour and develops into a blackhead. You might wonder why we shouldn’t tackle the problem by eradicating the sebum, yet this is needed to keep your skin looking healthy and prevent it from drying out. Yet if the surplus sebum is not cleared away, it no longer acts as a natural moisturiser nor barrier to infections but becomes a culture medium for bacteria.
What people often think is best to do to reduce their acne is by rubbing on creams (with extra grease and oils). However this only aggravates the problem – the skin can no longer ‘breathe’. The Acnezine Solution hereby provides the way out as its principle is to treat the acne from the inside-out. This product is an entire skin care management system which will find the source of your acne – how often have we not heard that we should treat the source of the problem (inside the epidermal layers) rather than the problem itself (spots and blemishes)? Acnezine can help prevent future outbreaks whilst healing the blemishes you have today – this will prevent you from prospect costs and frustrations.
Free radicals are by-products of oxidation in your body. We all need oxidation to occur as part of our life process, but there is concern that the build-up of excess free radicals which are not recycled contribute to skin damage. The anti-acne formula contains antioxidants as part of its active ingredients in order to help prevent the build-up of these free radicals. The most important message is that you understand that acne is essentially caused from imbalances and impurities occurring inside the body, that is why this particular formula treats the problem through internal cleansing going directly to the source to fight acne before it even begins.
AcneZine capsules prove to be very effective against acne due to its specific composition of ingredients. Vitamin E Acetate aids the skin in protecting itself from the effects of free radicals. The fat-soluble form of antioxidant in this medicine is proved to be a very effective remedy against acne. The Vitamin C Ester in the capsules has a major benefit for your skin: it boosts the process of collagen synthesis which in return improves your skin texture as well as quality. The Hydrolised Collagen assists the Vitamin C Ester by nourishing the collagen containing tissues in the skin.
The redness which acne causes is due to the inflammatory responce within the skin cells. This can be suppressed by Alpha Lipoic Acid which stops the activation of NF Kappa B. Another benefit this acid has is that it can further improve your skin texture through reversal of scar formation and prevention thereof. From the damage acne does to your skin, it needs cushioning and lubricating. This is done by Hyaluronic Acid. Ubidecarenone Co-Enzyme slows down the process of aging through wrinkle and fine line formation helping you to look even younger and fresher! To give you an overall boost, Bioperine increases the efficiency at which your body absorbs vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, this simultaneously helps to activate better absorption of the ingredients.
The final main ingredient, which will sound a lot more familiar to you, is Aloe Vera. This constituent contains vast amounts of nutrients which are essential for healthy body (and thus a healthy skin). Again this too proves to help reduce scar tissue and skin irritations. A large glass of water with one capsule a day will sure keep acne away! To get desired physical results, start helping yourself from within today.

A green powdered tree leaf eagerly sought out by students and athletes nationwide is neither smoked nor illegal. Used to lose weight, stay up late, cure acne, blow away hangovers, and enhance athletic performance, pure moringa leaf capsules are both safe and nutritious.
Moringa Zinga capsules are the newest craze on high school and college campuses across the nation, and it is a good thing too. The green powdered leaves from the moringa tree are totally organic and nutritious. Used by teens to cure acne, athletes to enhance performance, students to stay up late studying and to attain mental clarity test day, and dieters to ease overeating, Moringa capsules are an all-purpose supplement that is actually good for the body.
Used by the World Health Organization to cure malnourished babies in Africa for over 30 years it’s now being used by the well-heeled young people in America. Very cheap and totally non-toxic, students love the “green” stuff.
Young scholars are finding that rather than being buzzed on coffee or fried on illegal stimulants, they are popping moringa capsules to stay awake and fresh for their cramming sessions. The effects of moringa are neither caffeine nor sugar based so there are no ups or downs associated with its use. The capsules allow excellent mental clarity on test day and that is what students like the most.
Tina, a sophomore at UCLA confides, “I used to take uppers to stay up all night to study. Then when I went into the class to take my test, it was a battle to remember what I had learned. With moringa capsules, I can stay up as late as I need to, get some sleep, take a couple caps when I wake up, and can remember most of what I studied. This stuff is unbelievable and I don’t have to be buying illicit drugs anymore.”
Teens are also reporting that their acne is gone within days of using moringa capsules. John, a junior at Huntington High School in New York told us, “I never had too much acne, maybe one or two. But, it seemed as soon as they went away one or two more would pop up. So, it was a constant display. My mom was taking moringa capsules for energy and suggested I might try them. Four days after taking moringa the two pimples I had disappeared and nothing has popped up since!”
Pure, powdered, moringa tree leaf capsules are the perfect supplement for young adults who rarely watch what they eat. Moringa leaves, gram for gram, provide 7 times the vitamin C in oranges, 4 times the calcium in milk, 4 times the vitamin A in carrots, 2 times the protein in milk, and 3 times the potassium in bananas. The average young person’s diet is full of sugars and fast foods. Pure powdered moringa capsules provide much of what they are lacking.
Many young athletes are now noticing the fact that moringa leaf is one of the best-kept secrets amongst pro athletes who use it to gain enhanced performances without the atomic bomb affects associated with steroids. The pros use it because they feel 10% stronger, last 10% longer, and recuperate 10% quicker. Whatever the pros use collegiate and high school athletes mimic. It’s not just a fad. The reality is that athletes won’t play a game without taking a good dose of their “magic” pills beforehand. The captain of the varsity football team from a major Florida University put it this way, “Since I’ve been taking moringa my performance really kicks into another gear late in the game when my opponents are tiring. There is no way I would compete without my Zingas.”
Dieters have discovered that moringa capsules give them energy to remain active while suppressing their appetite. However, unlike most appetite suppressants it’s quite easy to sit down and eat a meal. Moringa is a food so it is certainly totally benign, organic, and safe as opposed to any prescription drugs, obtained legally or illegally, students may be taking.
Marsha, a coed from Chicago told us, “I take my moringa in the morning before eating anything. I have a couple cups of coffee and have no hunger pangs. I go strong all morning and before I know it it’s the afternoon. I take some more moringa and have a healthy snack. At night, I eat a normal dinner. The thing is about moringa, without any impulse for food you actually have to remember to eat!”
Mark, a party animal at the University of Maryland says that he and his friends wake up from binges, pop two moringa caps, and one hour later feel like new. “Wouldn’t be without them. It’s actually helping my GPA.”
Young people are not known for fads, crazes, or binges that are actually good for them. In fact, this is probably the first. Moringa capsules are so new to America that they are hard to find. But young people with computer sophistication find it easily available on the internet. Moringa Zinga is one of only a few American companies that carry the amazing leaf.

Now that we have established that pH is the most critical cause of acne, you may be thinking “Ok, but how do I attain a healthy pH balance in my body?”
The first step is to measure your pH level. You can buy packs of pH test strips from some chemists but I find it easier to purchase online. I use Alkalive Ph Test Stix. They come at a good price for 80 strips and are very easy to use. I buy mine from Amazon.com
The ideal pH level for a body is between 6.75 and 7.25 and bare in mind that this will change very quickly (hours). Each person will require a different amount of change in their diets according to their size, weight, age, and starting pH level.
In general, to achieve a healthy pH balance, 50% of your diet should be raw vegetables. And of the remaining 50%, cooked or otherwise, at least half should be fruits or vegetables. Food and drinks with no nutritional value should be avoided all together. These include soft drinks, sweets, most deserts, processed meats and other processed foods.
Meats in general should be minimised to only the required intake (3-4 servings per week) and limited to white meats like fish, chicken and turkey whenever possible. Dairy products should also be excluded from the diet as they are one of the main causes of the build up of mucus in the body. Soy products should be used instead.
For a more detailed description of the right diet to achive pH balance, I started with the these books:
The pH Miracle
The Acid-Alkaline Diet
or for an easy reference guide to the pH effects of individual foods try out this book:
The Acid-Alkaline Food Guide
I personally use The Acid-Alkaline Food Guide but if you are new to the idea of pH balance in your diet I recommend The pH Miracle or The Acid-Alkaline Diet because they provide more detail on the effects of acidic and alkaline foods in general. Once you feel you are comfortable with your understanding of pH balance you may want to switch to the guide for ease of use.

For many teens and young adults, acne is a fact of every day life. It can be difficult to get rid of acne, and even after it seems to be gone, some people still have outbreaks for years into their adult life. Acne can affect self-esteem and personal life.
In order to get rid of acne, you will need to stop using cosmetics which have an oil base. The oil in the cosmetics will clog pores and cause outbreaks of acne to be worse. In addition, you should avoid getting grease or oil of any type, including mechanical oils or greases and cooking greases. All of these can lead to clogged pores which can add to your acne problem.
In addition, you need to stop using any harsh soaps or facial cleansers. These soaps and cleansers are actually more harmful than helpful. They tend to strip the oils and moisture that are useful in healing from your face. Instead choose a gentle cleanser that removes excess oils, dirt or debris from your face. This dirt can clog pores and cause another breakout.
Avoid touching any outbreak of acne or your face if at all possible. Fingers are often loaded with foreign oils and bacteria. This can actually cause your problem to get worse rather than better. In addition, you can harm the sebaceous gland. This can eventually lead to pimple becoming infected.
A dermatologist approved acne lotion that contains sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid may be useful in breaking down the oils on the skin and killing bacteria which can cause the pimples on your skin. These creams may also help you to shed dead skin cells. Many of these lotions are available without prescription.
Yo0u may need to seek the help of a dermatologist to treat your acne. The doctor’s first step is to prescribe an acne lotion. This lotion may contain one of the vitamin A derivatives such as Retin-A or Differin. These products cause the dead skin cells to slough off from the skin. When these treatments are combined with mild antibiotic topical treatment, they help to control all but the most severe cases of acne.
A few years ago, you might have also been prescribed an antibiotic treatment. The antibiotic was useful in killing off the bacteria that caused pimples to form. Today, many doctors avoid routine prescription of antibiotics and are switching to the use of Accutane. Accutane is an effective treatment; however, it causes some serious side effects that include rectal bleeding, depression and a lowered blood count.
One final alternative that is sometimes used in women is the prescription of an oral contraceptive. Birth control pills cause differences in the hormones so there will also be side effects to this treatment. You need to consider these side effects before choosing this as an option.
Persons that have scarring the is the result of previous acne outbreaks may want to consult with a plastic surgeon. Usually, plastic surgery is considered a last option.
Are you tired of all the attention acne draw to your face? Do you think that you spend too much time trying to get rid of it just to have it return? Stop driving yourself crazy and learn how to get rid of acne now! You can also learn how to get rid of pimples – the ins and outs.

Acne is upsetting. We dwell in a society where not just youth, but gorgeousness is worshipped. It is in all places and you can’t run away from it. The effects of having acne can be emotionally disgusting for teenagers as they are really conscious of their appearance and their image. Even though they feel they go through alone, they don’t. The truth is that close to 85% of the people in the United States has at some point had the crisis.
Acne in young is achieved by the action of hormones on the skin’s oil glands. During puberty both boys and girls have an increase in the hormones known as androgens. These hormones initiate sebaceous glands under the surface of the skin to enlarge. The sebaceous glands in response generate extra oil. This additional oil meets with bacteria and dead skin on the skin’s surface and obstruct pores. Within these pores the bacteria multiply and cause inflammation.
Acne is regularly genetic, so you may not be able to steer clear of it. Nevertheless there are things you have to be aware of, and things you can do to lend a hand to you to contend with it.
There are many myths surrounding acne. The most eminent one is that chocolate and fatty foods produce breakouts. Over the years skin doctors have discovered there is no evidence of this assertion. On the other hand, if you observe you do break out more after consuming certain foods, stay away from them. Even though it may not have an effect, taking a good diet complete with fruits and vegetables is a good idea. Another folk story is that acne is achieved by inferior hygiene. This is not a fact at all. As discussed formerly, it is brought forth by overproduction of oil. Another myth advise you to scrub your face several times a day. Essentially, over washing your skin can lead it to become more sore. Furthermore, if you utilize drying products beyond usual on your skin, it may rebel by making available more oil.
Doesn’t matter what one of the hundreds of treatments you conclude to take bear it in mind that acne takes time to fade. Overnight or paranormal end result do not happen. It takes six to eight weeks to observe consequences from treatment. After it has cleared continual treatment will be requisite to prevent it from recurring. If an acne treatment takes more than six to eight weeks to demonstrate a major difference it probably won’t work. Have a go at something else.
You really should seek out the counsel of a dermatologist. With the amount of products on the market, how do you select? What might clear one person’s acne may not clear anothers. Your skin kind and lesion forms ought to be considered. Before you expend a bundle of money on an unrecognized treatment discuss with a dermatologist. He or she can arrange a personalized program depending on your skin’s needs.
