ACN Business began in 1993 as the American Communications Network (later shortened to ACN). Founded by Greg Provenzano, Robert Stevanski, Mike Cupisz and Tony Cupisz, ACN is now the largest direct selling telecommunications company in the world. “Direct selling” is known by several other names, more typically Multi Level Marketing or Network Marketing. This business model makes use of independent representatives to sell its products, and those representatives are being rewarded with a generous commission. What makes MLM businesses different, however, is the opportunity to earn commission based on the sales of other representatives. How does it work?Although different Multi level Marketing companies may have different structures, there are certain things common to all of them. There are 2 basic ways to make money through MLM; the first is through selling and the second is through recruiting others to sell. The commission you receive is base on your own sales but also on the sales of those representatives you have recruited. This can add up to a substantial sum of money. What’s the catch?The simple answer is that there doesn’t have to be a catch provided you do your research before getting involved. Choose your product wisely; if you don’t love it it’s unlikely that you will persuade others to buy it. It’s also important to consider your existing network or contacts when choosing your product. For example, if you are a member of a running club or gym, you’ll already know a large group of people who are interested in health and fitness. By choosing a health and fitness related product, you immediately have a bank of potential customers, who very often can go on to become representatives. Be sure that you’re happy with the commission being offered and find out if there’s any financial outlay for you at the outset. It’s also worth checking whether the company offers training and support for representatives, particularly if you’re completely new to this line of work.
