Mild to moderate acne affects 3 out of every 4 teens, so most of the population never needs severe acne remedies.
But if you are one of those who suffer from severe acne, more drastic and severe remedies are what you need.
Acne as a skin disease, includes blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, under skin cysts, infected hair follicles, and often times, if you are suffering from an acute or severe attack, these symptoms can last for months before the remedies begin to work.
Despite the severe acne remedies, permanent scars can remain. And because the American public is so focused on “looks”- there can be psychological scarring as well.
The key is finding severe acne remedies that will work for you and reduce the risk of permanent damage.
The most important of acne remedies is to keep the skin clean and clear of dirt and oil. This means washing the area several times daily with soap and water, hydrogen peroxide, or specialty cleansers to prevent toxic material from getting lodged into the skin.
This is not the cause of acne, but may compound it.
The second acne remedy will require you to become sensitive to your eating habits.
A healthier system will function better and reduce infection, and include drinking a gallon of water a day to flush your system.
You want to keep your system flushed of toxins, and to identify any foods, such as chocolate, which irritate your condition.
As for severe acne remedies or treatments, consult a dermatologist so that he/she can prescribe the best acne medication for the skin.
Oral antibiotics such as tetracycline and erythromycin are sometimes used in treating severe cases of acne.
Isotretinoin is a drug related to Vitamin A which has proven effective, hormonal therapies are also used especially with women when nothing else will work, and Corticosteroid is a powerful anti-inflammatory that is prescribed for very short times to treat the most severe acne .
While 100% treatable, it could take weeks or months to bring severe acne under control even with the best medication.
Severe acne remedies and treatments should be geared towards the individual’s needs and condition.

Acne is quite a problem to almost everyone. It does not only sprout up when one reaches the age of puberty but even lasts longer than that. The problem occurs when the hair follicles and pores get clogged because of the extra amount of sebum on the skin’s surface. Dead cells have no way to escape the skin and together with the sebum, attracts attacks from bacteria and from that acne is formed.
Although acne on the face and back are formed by the same principle, it is much harder to cure back acne because the back is quite a “hidden” part of the body to ones own eyes and difficult to reach when you wash your body. Moreover, the back is usually the part that is pressed on by the weight of your body the most when you sleep, and this physical pressure can make the existing acne on your back get into a worse condition.
When you have acne appear on your back, the first thing you should do is not wear tight clothes. Tight clothes just make your sensitive skin more irritated and will cause more acne. Washing your body thoroughly every day, especially your back, is essential in curing acne. You should use a special kind of soap, which has salicylic acid. You should also change your bed sheets frequently because it is a very pleasant place for billions of bacteria to reside and attack your skin whenever possible.
You should see the doctor if a large area of acne appears on your back. Curing acne is a time-consuming process and you must follow your doctor’s advice although it will take a lot effort. Never touch or squeeze your acne, it will not help but will just spread the infection to other skin areas and result in more acne.
A healthy diet which is rich in vitamins and low in fat and sugar will help prevent extra oil on your skin and thus prevent more acne from forming. Drinking a lot of water and trying to avoiding staying up late are also very helpful in the cure of acne in general.

Acne is a problem for many people. There are a variety of products that are designed to get rid of or reduce acne. However, many people do not know that there are natural ways to reduce acne, or completely eliminate it. The best way to naturally get rid of pimples is to consider the causes of acne. By avoiding the causes of acne, you can greatly reduce the amount of acne you have.
Acne is caused by hormones. When trying to prevent acne it is advisable to try to reduce your body’s production of certain hormones. The body produces a large amount of hormones in stressful situations. People who are extremely stressed have an overproduction of hormones. Relaxation techniques such as Yoga, T’ai Chi and deep breathing can help reduce stress and limit hormone production. Additionally, avoiding caffeine can help because caffeine stimulates hormone production. Finally, exercise is very beneficial for reducing acne. Exercise reduces stress and works to rebalance hormones.
Diet is a very significant factor in the presence of acne. Certain foods can foster the presence of acne. Consumption of these types of foods should be reduced or completely avoided if possible. Dairy products such as milk and cheese can contribute to the formation of acne. Additionally, refined and cooked carbohydrates such as flour, bread, and rice can also affect acne. Other foods that should be avoided are cooked fats, such as fried food, and meats like beef and pork. The foods that should be avoided are acid-forming foods in the body. In order to reduce acne, you should attempt to eat more alkaline-forming foods. Fresh vegetables, fruit, and nuts (sparingly) are very good to eat when trying to reduce acne.
Dehydration is also a very important factor in the formation of acne. The skin needs to be hydrated from the inside in order to prevent blocked pores. Drinking great amounts of water is a good practice when attempting to reduce acne. Eating water-rich foods can also help with hydration.
Finally, avoiding yeast is a great practice for reducing acne. Studies have shown that people with severe acne often have a build-up of yeast in their bodies. In order to avoid yeast build-up, you should avoid sugary foods and yeast products such as beer, bread, and mushrooms.
Acne can be a large problem for many people, but there are natural ways to reduce or eliminate pimples. Avoiding stress and exercising regularly while eating healthy and avoiding greasy foods can greatly reduce the amount of acne one has. After trying the natural ways to reduce acne, then it is a good idea to use acne medicines. But if medication can be avoided, you will save money and be healthier.

Acne is one of those conditions that most people treat lightly but of you suffer from it you will find it is a big deal. As the problem persists it is possible that you spend way more time than is right worrying about it and getting self conscious. As this progresses it is easy to drastically lower your self esteem and lower you confidence.
It is for these reasons that acne should be taken seriously and attempts made to clear skin as soon as possible. I suffered with acne during my teenage years and everyone said you just need to see it out and by the time you reach your twenties it will all be gone.
Sadly for me, and many others, it continued during my twenties. Sometimes going away but coming back when you really do not want it coming back. There are a great deal of adults along with teenagers that get pimples and blemishes and over the counter solutions do not work. Others who try to exercise and eat healthy but still find they wake up with spots.
While some over the counter cleansers can work and while eating healthy food can also have an impact, they do not tackle the root of the problem. This is that an excess of sebum or oil in the body leads to the skins pores getting blocked which results in bacteria being allowed to multiply and spread. This is what results in red blotches and acne appearing and the way to deal with this is to take a medication that will control and maintain the level of oil in the body.

Iwould love to tell you that there is a magical cure for acne but I would be lying. The intent of this article is not to mislead but to educate people both men and women on the “do’s” and “don’ts” of acne prevention. You see, the reality is that like many other diseases, there is no permanent cure for acne; acne comes and goes as it pleases. However, with that said, there are number of acne prevention techniques you can adopt to prevent acne from rearing its ugly head in the first place and keeping your skin looking clear and beautiful.
Most of the acne prevention techniques I will talk about are just plain old common sense things people neglect to do. For example, washing your face daily with mild soap and lukewarm water will prevent much of acne from forming on your face or forehead. However, many of us acne sufferers get too busy with our daily chores that we completely neglect to follow this simple yet very effective acne prevention technique. Regular face washing helps to remove much of the bacteria and acne causing debris. However, keep in mind that over using this technique can irritate your skin and make your skin condition worse.
Another acne prevention technique which in opinion is much underutilized is “regular cardiovascular exercise”. Not only does regular cardio exercise consisting of 20-30 minutes of Stairmaster or treadmill keep your body moving and fit, it forces your body to sweat; which in turn helps to unclog skin pores and prevent acne from flaring up. If you are not the “Gym Buff” type, and let’s face it, most of aren’t, consider adding “brisk walk” to your daily routine. Another acne prevention technique you may already be aware of or in my case guilty of is “popping unwanted pimples”. Given how easy it is to pop a pimple, resisting the temptation can be very difficult; but you must. The reason for this is simple, when you pop a pimple; you are helping the bacteria spread to uncontaminated skin areas allowing acne to spread. In addition, popping a pimple can make the acne wounds worse and can cause severe scarring.
Drinking 6-8 glasses of water is perhaps the simplest technique for preventing acne. Regular supply of fresh water helps the body remain healthy and hydrated. This helps the body fight many diseases including acne much more effectively. When the skin is kept hydrated, it does not dry out and start to shed. Shedding is one of the common causes of acne formation as it leads to clogging of the skin pores by dead skin cells.
Despite your best effort, you may come to a point where none of the aforementioned acne prevention techniques are effective at eliminating your acne. When this time comes, you need to seek sound advice from a medical professional such as your family doctor or a skin specialist such as a dermatologist. Another option you may consider is using a natural herbal acne treatment.

Some think that natural treatment is the best way cure any type of ailments including acne problems as it is devoid of any long term effects. There are many products designed to treat acne and they can be obtained either through a dermatologist or bought in the pharmacy. There are certain fears amongst user on the use of chemically synthesize acne treatment and the side effects associated with it.
This article discusses one of the most common natural remedies and why it is preferred. Did you know that water content in your body can have a curing affect on your acne problems?
Water is known for it healing effects on the body. Drinking plenty of water will keep the skin looking and feeling healthy. Water is used to hydrate the body, which, of course, hydrates the skin as well. Most skin problems can be traced to just a simple things; keeping the body hydrated. The two main ways to prevent your skin from drying away due to dehydration is to wash your face and to consume enough water per day.
Try this one out: stop drinking everything else other than plain water and see if it has any effect on your skin. Drinking plain water may not be fashionable for some, but it’ll do wonders for your skin. In the case of drinking water, the more you drink the better it is for your body. In addition to improving skin tone and texture, it can stimulate cell growth and will help all your organs work correctly.
Having oily skin is not the same as having moisturized skin and most people are confused about those two things. There are many ways you can moisturize your skin and one of the way is by washing or cleaning your skin with water. Though very little water is stored in the outer layers of your skin, this moisture is important and is constantly removed by outside elements such as sun and wind.
Never forget the importance of keeping your skin moisturize. Sun and wind can dry your skin, removing moisture and irritating its surface. Never exposed yourself to these elements especially if you already have acne problems. While irritation won’t directly cause more acne to form, it can worsen the problem.
Never think of skipping the most important treatment regimen, moisturizing you skin. This is a common misconception amongst people is that when you have oily skin you don’t need to moisturize your skin. Clean your face regularly and never forget to moisturize it as this will remove excess oil on your face. By cleansing the skin, you are wiping away excess oil, and my moisturizing it, you are helping it remain smooth and decreasing your chances for irritation.
Water is the lifeblood of the skin; always take enough water to maintain the functionality of the skin. Cell growth are directly affected when not enough water is consumed; thus causing skin to either get acne problems or premature wrinkling of the skin. Properly hydrating the skin not only promotes and stimulates cell growth, but also helps the other organs of the bodywork together.
After you’ve tried everything under the sun to cure your acne problems, and still fail, give water a try. Do make sure that you consume enough water and this may actually alleviate some of your problems.
